The Financial Analyst Senior plays a critical part in supporting our financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts to drive sound financial decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst provides insights through detailed analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000
  • Work Location: Mundelein,Illinois

Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support budgeting and long-term planning.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare reports for senior management, summarizing financial performance and strategic insights. Create visualizations and dashboards as needed.
  • Work closely with department heads and project teams to provide financial insights and support on various projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to support business objectives. Provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Build, improve, and maintain financial models to evaluate profitability, ROI, and other financial metrics for new initiatives, investments, and other strategic projects.
  • Identify financial risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them. Support the preparation of risk management documentation and contribute to risk assessment discussions.
  • Develop and enhance processes, tools, and reporting methods to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and visual data tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Dayforce, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

Required


  • Education: Bachelor's
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis.

Preferred


  • Certifications: CPA, CFA, or another related certification.
