Responsible for the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of facilities, complex equipment, and company vehicles. Identify, monitor and troubleshoot problems. Keep records of work performed and complete maintenance history logs. Control and account for equipment. Ensure operation of safe and functionally sound equipment. Maintain grounds and clears parking lots. Maintain and order supplies and parts as needed.
What does it mean to be part of the Maintenance Team?
In this role, you are responsible for all repair and ongoing maintenance of the facility to include all equipment and company vehicles that our associates operate daily as well as maintain the grounds and parking lot areas. You will maintain and order supplies/parts as needed while also providing recommendations to repair and replace equipment to ensure proper functioning. You will conduct regular facility inspections and assist in developing a preventative maintenance schedule. In this team, you work directly with all departments within the facility on any maintenance needs that may arise.
We have two areas of focus within our maintenance teams, which are building and equipment maintenance. The building maintenance team is responsible for repairing and ongoing maintenance of the facility. You will conduct regular facility inspections and assist in developing a preventative maintenance schedule. Our equipment maintenance team repair and maintain all equipment that our associates operate daily. You will maintain and order supplies/parts while providing recommendations to repair and replace equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair more complex food and snack mixing, roasting and packing machinery
Maintain printers (Weber, Videojet), Scale (Ishida, bulk weighers), packaging equipment (Bartelt, Martini, Orics, Ames, and others) metal detectors (Safeline)
Complete changeovers of bag and films of various sizes and operations
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations listening for problems
Performs preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operations manual, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
Building and grounds maintenance to include lighting, cracks, painting, and general repairs
Assist personal as needed. Communicate regularly with personnel to ensure that repairs and maintenance needs are met and coordinated with production schedules
Keep management informed of areas activities and of significant concerns. Report major concerns or significant problems
Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food Standards (SQF)
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Must have mechanical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills by use of listening and observing
Knowledge of related computer applications
Excellent understand of facility management procedures
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least 3 years of maintenance experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities
Strong problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
Able to use all related maintenance equipment
Flexible and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Physical Environment/Demands:
Most work is performed typical warehouse conditions. During part of the workday the incumbent will be moving about the Distribution Center warehouse floor and potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.
Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
