Vitalant is opening up a new Reference Lab in Lewiston, Idaho and we are seeking a team of dedicated Lab Professionals to join us. We are looking to hire newly graduated or experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to the hospital transfusion service for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID. Regardless of your experience in this field, we have a position tailored to your skill level.

What to Expect

Schedule: Nights, rotating weekends and holidays.

Paid Training: Will be held in Spokane, WA and we will provide hotel accommodations and meal/mileage reimbursement.

Anticipated Start Date: May or June - Lab opens in July

• Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, and crossmatching.


• Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.


• Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility)
  • or


• Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS


• State licensure as required by regulations

• 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements
  • or


• 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician
