ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for managing all payroll-related processing activities.
MAJOR ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Payroll
Manages the full payroll life cycle to submit accurate and timely payrolls via third party payroll vendor
Collects, verifies, stores and reports on organizational payroll data as well as monitors the accuracy of the data and files
Ensures mandatory & voluntary withholdings and deductions are accurately calculated and reported
Inputs changes, which may include changes to employees or employee statuses, exemptions or withholdings, or bank information; completes all new hire setups in the system
Leads the process for preparing year end W-2s and other related tax filings or reports
Acts as the subject matter expert & main point of contact for employees/managers with questions about payroll policies and pay discrepancies
Owns, executes, and maintains reporting processes for the department
Human Resources
Assists in employee engagement and onboarding
Assists in development and implementation of HR policies
Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, preferred but not required
2 – 4 years payroll/human resources/business analyst experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
