Job DescriptionThe Collector is responsible for collections and follow-up of all past-due consumer, line of credit, installment and mortgage loans. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance and collection of delinquent installment, line of credit and mortgage accountsHigh volume of customer contact via telephone and correspondence in efforts to collect on delinquent accountsResponsible for coordinating the physical repossession of the collateralFloor plan audits on inventory inspections of car dealership or other retail establishmentsPrepare monthly charge-off-recommendations based on non-performing loans and submit to management for review and approval of action planPerform other tasks within department as assigned by management QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior working experience in collections highly desiredKnowledge of legal documents that relate to loan documentation, collateral, bankruptcy proceedings is a plusExcellent verbal and written communications skills in Spanish or additional language a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Products requiredBasic accounting skills is highly desiredStrong written and verbal communication skills requiredStrong multi-tasking and organizational skills requiredDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and difficult situationsAbility to travel within regional area up to 10% KEY COMPETENCIES:Customer relationship focusedProfessionalismCommunications skillsAdaptable and flexible
