Job Description/Summary:
The College of St. Scholastica invites applications to join our entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program. We are seeking a full-time core faculty member for an 11-month appointment; rank and salary commensurate with experience. Our DPT program is committed to the education and preparation of entry-level practitioners dedicated to meeting society's health care needs with special consideration for rural communities. Program graduates are recognized as leaders in the provision of evidence-based practice that is compassionate, ethical, and legal. The DPT program has a strong history, accredited originally in 1976 and ongoing by CAPTE. The DPT program is committed to active collaboration with area clinics and facilities to provide an optimal environment for the development of strong entry-level clinicians known for their problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Unique program features include a human cadaver lab used for anatomy and neuroscience, access to the state-of-the-art St. Scholastica Simulation Center and resources, an onsite teaching and learning clinic, and Sensorimotor Behavior Lab with 12 Camera Qualisys Motion Capture System, 4 integrated AMTI force plates, wireless EMG, and a HUMAC Norm Isokinetic Dynamometer, allowing for independent research activities and integration of biomechanics concepts into physical therapy education courses.
