JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly production and financial forecasts.
• Conduct analysis in a timely and meaningful fashion to allow for recognition of potential errors in accounting systems or financial reporting.
• Prepare periodic banking reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly premium tracking metrics.
• Prepare profit sharing payments.
• Assist in 1099 processing.
• Assist in the timely preparation of monthly financial statements for company.
• Coordination of work paper preparation for third party examinations.
• Recommend improvements to current accounting systems as areas of weakness or problem areas may be identified in the course of other duties.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

• In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Agribusiness P&C products, services, and systems.
• Knowledge of the terminology used by the insurance industry and the company.
• Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical calculations.
• Ability to use company and department software including word, excel, and other software as deemed appropriate by the project.
• Ability to respond to telephone inquiries accurately and professionally.
• Ability to effectively communicate and maintain positive business relationships with company personnel, outside resources, and customers.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and to perform many tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to use department equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
• Ability to work from oral or written communication.
• Ability to assist in other work-related areas as required.
