Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated Engineering / Drafting Intern to join our team and assist in our initiative to optimize and deliver quality engineering documents for production. This role will be instrumental in supporting our Engineering and Production teams. The Engineering / Drafting Intern will assist in the design and analysis of engineering projects. This role includes working with CAD software to create technical drawings and assisting with project documentation.

DURATION AND COMPENSATION:

This is a full-time internship position lasting 10 weeks, commencing on / around Monday, June 2 nd , and ending on / around Friday, August 8 th . Interviews will be held in late February, early March. The successful candidate is expected to be available for the duration of the internship.

The internship is paid, and compensation will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Assist in the creation of CAD drawings and revise existing engineering plans.
  • Support the engineering team in project design and development.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on engineering solutions.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/REPORTING: The 2025 Summer Intern, Engineering / Drafting interacts with all levels in the organization. Reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

EDUCATION:


  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Engineering, CAD, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with CAD software and drafting techniques preferred.
  • Beginner or Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively navigate organizational interdependencies and build relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, work within ambiguity, and successfully managed unresolved situations, frequent change, or unexpected events.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop and track metrics, use data to solve problems, and create compelling narratives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 5 pounds. Requires manual agility sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers and other office equipment as the position requires. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

MENTAL DEMANDS: Must handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must relate and interact with people at all levels in the Company.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a typical office setting. This position may require working outside of standard business hours.
