Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the repair and troubleshooting of all industrial machinery inside the plant. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor is expected to have fantastic organizational and time management skills. The Maintenance Supervisor will display natural leadership and possess strong communication skills with a great eye for detail. To ensure success, the Maintenance Supervisor should display strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of building and industrial maintenance, repairs, sanitization, and managing staff. Top candidates will be skilled in equipment maintenance procedures and have extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hires and trains maintenance department staff
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy

Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery, repair, and perform preventative maintenance tasks as needed
Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.

Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
Employ, supervise and train workers.
Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
Conduct preventative maintenance work.
Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner .
Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
At least five years of maintenance experience required .
2 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor (essential).
Great time management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of PLC's & micro switches, in relationship to high-speed packaging equipment.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
