Materials Handler - 2nd Shift at Hendrickson in somerset, Kentucky

Job Description:

Position Purpose:


Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, incoming material receipts, and supply of necessary production parts to assigned areas of the plant.


Essential Functions:


• Transport production parts to assigned line using tow motor/lift truck.

• Operates reach or fork truck to pick supplies throughout the facility.

• Loads semi-truck and trailer with inventory via PIT.

• Operates auto wrapper to wrap pallets for transport.

• Picks parts from bins to resupply assembly lines.

• Writes information on tracking forms and inputs data in RF scanner.

• Conduct all location transactions for parts delivered to warehouse and /or production lines.

• Assist in resolving data accuracy problems associated with any warehouse transactions.

• Assist in coordinating all quality discrepancies with purchasing and production scheduling personnel.

• Break down cardboard at each department location and feed to bailer.

• Performs 5S housekeeping duties around the work area.

Education and Training

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Must carry a current fork truck license.

• Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Ability to function as an effective team member.
• Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems.
• Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
