Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Shift: Saturday, Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM & Monday, Tuesday 6:00AM-2:00PM


  • Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.

  • Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.

  • Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.

  • Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

  • Interact with equipment engineers and technicians to schedule calibration activities, provide guidance related to selection of test and measurement equipment, and lead others in following appropriate documented procedures in place for the Metrology Department.

  • Place a strong focus on attention to detail while properly documenting calibration results into the calibration tracking database using validated templates or test point grids. As appropriate, issue Out of Tolerance (OOT) or Non-conformance (NC) reports.

  • Evaluate standard equipment and perform TAR (Test Accuracy Ratio) analysis during a calibration process.

  • Perform administrative changes in the CAMS (Computerized Assets Management System)

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Requires minimum of 2 years of experience of relevant experience

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).

Nice to Have


  • Associate Degree in Technology or Instrumentation

  • Calibration Technician Background (knowledge of calibration and measurements uncertainty, measurement traceability, measurement standards, test uncertainty /accuracy ratios, measurement system analysis (MSA), SI units, calibration intervals, and out of tolerance reporting.

  • Experience in Medical Devices or other regulated (FDA, cGMPs) industry

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) and Windows OS

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (SAP or equivalent)

  • Familiar with the following regulations: FDA 21 CFR Part 820 cGMP, ISO 13485, ISO 10012 and ISO 17025

  • Familiar with NIST, NCSL, ASTM or other organizations related to metrology, measurements, or standards.

  • Organized, efficient, process oriented; interpersonal/communication skills; self-motivated team player, strong work ethic; works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.

  • Previous experience working with Change Control and Procedural Changes.
