WHO YOU ARE


The Senior Global Sourcing Professional will be responsible for developing and implementing global sourcing strategies that align with the company's objectives for cost, quality, and delivery. This role demands extensive experience in global sourcing, particularly within the durable and consumer goods industries, and requires frequent international travel. Additionally, this role requires monitoring performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, negotiating contracts with vendors, and implementing strategies to enhance the global sourcing strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to meet the company's objectives for cost, quality, and delivery.

  •  and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across Mexico, Central America, South America, and Europe.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions possible.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless integration of sourcing activities.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and trends in the durable and consumer goods sectors.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the sourcing process.

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Manage the sourcing budget and track cost savings initiatives.

  • Travel extensively to international supplier sites to conduct audits, assessments, and negotiations.


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Over 15 years of experience in global sourcing, with a focus on Mexico, Central America, South America, and Europe.

  • Bi-lingual Spanish skills required. Portuguese a plus.

  • Strong understanding of the durable and consumer goods industries.
