TCL Training and Barriers Coordinator (Full-time Hybrid, Morrisville or Charlotte, North Carolina Based)

The Transition to Community Living (TCL) Training and Barriers Coordinator will be responsible for assessing training needs for internal and external stakeholders related to TCL. This position will identify internal and external training programs to address competencies and gaps and organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs for Alliance TCL staff and providers. In addition, this position will collect, analyze, and present results from training to Alliance departments, managers, and supervisors. This position will also be responsible for collecting and presenting identified local barriers to both internal and external stakeholders, tracking progress of barriers, and presenting achieved results.
This position will allow the successful candidate to work a primarily remote schedule. One day a week working onsite is required.
Responsibilities & Duties
Planning and Coordinating Training for Internal and External Stakeholders
Manage, design, develop, coordinate, and conduct training related to expectations and requirements at the state level and within Alliance Health with both internal and external stakeholders. Travel will be required for some external presentations and training. Track and report results to appropriate managers, supervisors, and staff
Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training
Coordinate, conduct, and track Provider coaching and training as identified by the Provider Network and Community Health and Well Being departments. Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment. Establish and maintain relationships with external training entities
Lead efforts to clarify any regulations, processes, or procedures that are unclear
Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions
Market Alliance training opportunities to employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation
Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress
Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training
Develop Reports and Data Visualization Solutions
Use data queries and results to build visualizations for internal and external stakeholders as they apply to the Implementation Plan, state and Alliance expectations, and process improvement
Design solutions using Lean Six Sigma tools to minimize duplicate efforts and improve communication and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
Using thorough knowledge of available data, design products that merge data from various sources including State data, the data warehouse, and internal platforms including Jiva, TCLD, and SharePoint to develop training courses for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure that reporting activities and training programs are conducted in ways that correspond with externally mandated specifications
Assist Transition to Community Living with any data assurance/integrity efforts required as part of larger quality activities, and with the completion and validation of state-required reports
Collaborate with Other Departments to Enhance Operations
Work closely with others in Transition to Community Living and the Provider Network Department to enhance operations and automation of reports and processes through training and education. Regularly meet with external stakeholders and present required of requested data
Actively participate in committees and work groups as appropriate
Attend trainings or meetings that are relevant to the above responsibilities
Attend in-person meetings as required to problem-solve and/or collaborate with internal Alliance employees
Collect and present videos, stories of successful members overcoming barriers, transitioning into PSH, and maintaining tenancy
Manage the Collection, Presentation, and Follow Through for Submitted Barriers to Alliance Health and the State
Collect, review and document barriers submitted to Alliance
Attend barrier meetings with each state psychiatric hospital and report requested data. Work to improve relationships with hospital staff and liaisons
Communicate with stakeholders to resolve barriers in a timely manner
Elevate barriers to the State Local Barriers Meeting if the barrier cannot be resolved within Alliance
Lead the State Local barriers Committee, document meeting notes, and send reminders and minutes to attendee
Monitor the Local Barriers inbox. Track, report, and follow up on all local barriers submitted
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human services/healthcare, education, training, or related field and (2) two years of experience as a Training Coordinator, Training Facilitator, Trainer or a similar role related to performance improvement.
Certified Professional Trainer (CPT), Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP), Certified Master Trainer (CMT), International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) Performance Improvement Practitioner (PIP), or equivalent certification is required within eighteen (18) months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of data integration into best practices.
Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles.
Knowledge of competency assessment
Knowledge of the healthcare industry
Knowledge of relational database systems to infuse training with data collected within Alliance.
Knowledge of data visualization principles and strategies
Skilled in various software applications and informatics systems.
Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to assist in overcoming barriers to Permanent Supportive Housing through the use of existing data
Ability to work with large-volume data sets to develop trainings for all stakeholders
Ability to manage projects and deliver within specified timeframes
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing priorities
Salary Range
$66,240 -$86,112/Annually
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
