ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance is one of two programs in the State of Florida to offer degree programs in risk management and insurance and is one of the few named schools of risk management and insurance in the country. In addition to strong financial support from industry, the school also benefits from the support of an experienced and active Risk Advisory Council. The current hiring plan reflects the ongoing commitment at the University of South Florida to support the school as it pursues the overarching goal of being a leading program in risk management and insurance. Working with the leadership of the Sarasota-Manatee campus and the Muma College of Business, our industry partners, and other key stakeholders, our objectives are to educate and support the development of the next generation of talented risk management and insurance professionals, to produce high-quality research that informs public policy and the academic literature, and to service consumers, the risk management industry in the Tampa Bay region, and the State of Florida through the dissemination of information related to risk and its management. The Muma College of Business operates in an exciting, vibrant, innovation-friendly environment on all three campuses. Over the past few years, USF received over $60 million from key donors to name the Muma College of Business, The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance, the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy, the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability, the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program, and the Bellini Center for Talent Development. In recent years, the Muma College of Business also successfully launched the Center for Marketing and Sales Innovation. Last fall, the Muma College of Business achieved a milestone in awarding over $1 million in scholarships to its students.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position manages the administrative and operational tasks for our academic unit. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the school, engaging with administrative staff within the Muma College of Business and at all three campuses of USF, and engaging externally with school stakeholders and supporters. This role supports the school?s growth strategies and initiatives and reports directly to the School Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support administration and coordination of RMI academic/industry conferences, student placement events, and other Schools specific events. In coordination with MCOB shared fiscal services, arranges and coordinates travel for department staff, faculty, students, and incoming guests and speakers.

Provides administrative support and coordination for departmental recruitment. Coordinates with assigned HR Business Partner for employment, payroll. leave and other HR/payroll needs for the School.

Responsible for preparation, submission, summary and communication of budget information for the School. Prepares and approves budget transfers and non-payroll expenditure transfers, reconciles remaining spending authority, prepares and maintains internal accounting records, and other duties related to fiscal administration. Coordinates with MCOB shared services for purchasing requirements for assigned area.

Support the development and generation of print and digital marketing materials used by the school. Support the School's social media efforts and provide oversight of the School's website.

Generate and maintain databases related to students, alumni, industry engagements, academic events/conferences, and the financial development efforts of the school, and use these databases to generate reports for the school director and faculty. Assists in the development of course scheduling.

Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with six years of experience in office or administrative positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree, higher education experience.
