Business Development - Director

Kroll Agency and Trustee Services, part of Kroll Business Services, provides independent, conflict-free, third-party administration agency, collateral agency, escrow and paying agency services. Servicing the bond and loan markets, Kroll has developed its strong reputation by providing proactive and bespoke services to its clients. We currently manage over 900 loan and bond transactions.

As a Business Development - Director at Kroll Agency and Trustee Services, you will be a critical member of the Business Development team focused on driving growth and sales revenue in the Americas market for the company through the provision of independent agency services.

The successful candidate will play a key part within a strong performing global sales team by originating and securing new business mandates across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions and creating and developing new and existing client relationships.

Your sales focus and expertise will be instrumental in driving successful delivery in alignment with Kroll's vision and growth objectives, applying best practice and ensuring strong client service from inception.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will ensure accurate and on-time delivery of all key task items including (but not limited to) the following:


  • Drive the development of business leads and introductions to maximise revenue growth in the Americas;
  • Manage a growing team of Business Development individuals within your region. Ensuring all goals and objectives, in particular pertaining to new revenue opportunities for the business, are consistently delivered.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date MI is kept using Salesforce and internal reporting systems - including producing periodic reporting to track key sales metrics.
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and target existing and new client needs to increase Kroll's market share and develop strategic business initiatives that directly lead to incremental revenue growth.
  • Assist in creating brand recognition and awareness by working closely with marketing and delivery partners to market the full range of Kroll Agency and Trustee Services products and services and create effective strategies for client acquisition and retention.
  • Engage with current and prospective clients/ influencers and referrals of business including lawyers, sponsors, debt advisors and lenders to drive incremental revenue opportunities, all the time understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Identify and attend external conferences and events for market knowledge and networking opportunities ensuring a robust RoI of all events is actively tracked.
  • As a senior employee at Kroll, you will be expected to excel at stakeholder management by building and maintaining strong internal relationships, particularly across Kroll Business Services and the Enterprise Sales team.
  • Continuously strive to enhance our product offering, expertise, and sales techniques to drive business growth.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • A demonstrable track record of success in business development or sales within the financial services industry, particularly within a bank or independent provider of corporate trust and agency services.
  • In depth understanding and knowledge of the loan and bond markets.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities and create effective business strategies.
  • Strong and supportive management skills of both a growing team of business development individuals in the Americas but as a senior leader in the business, your management skills will be applied throughout the global Agency and Trustee Services team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to engage and influence potential clients to secure new business.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to work under a pressurised and fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivation and effective time management

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $250,000.
