Wood is currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join its Oil, Gas, & New Energies business for facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant, based in Corpus Christi, TX.

As the CAD Technician, you will be responsible for work supporting facility-based projects, collaborating with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings. This opportunity is onsite. #LI-Onsite


The Role The CAD Technician will be responsible for inputting design specifications into CAD software, creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications, working with a design team and individually on CAD projects, reviewing CAD models with the client, and conducting final model rendering and delivering the final product. The role also involves meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings, completing job reports, and ensuring all work complies with company procedures and engineering practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Key responsibilities:



  • Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings.

  • Inputting design specifications into the CAD software.

  • Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.

  • Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects.

  • Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.

  • Conducting final model rendering and delivering the final product.

  • Completing job reports.

  • Meeting or exceeding the company's safety standards.

  • Complying with all company procedures, engineering practices, and other standards.

  • Working closely and interacting with project team members to achieve project success.

Expected:



  • 3-5 years of experience.

  • TWIC Card required.

  • Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.


Other Information:



  • Permanent Full-Time Position with opportunities for Overtime.

  • Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

  • No Paid Relocation for this position.
