Senior Regulatory Expert: FIFRA
As a passionate and innovative expert in the EPA's Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), you will work closely with our Global Biocides team to create robust test plans, contract with and place necessary testing with contract labs and create, submit, and negotiate registration dossiers. Your Role:
You will work closely with various functions within MilliporeSigma Life Science and other subsidiaries, including the Global Biocides Team, R&D, Production, Quality, and others. Your focus will be on creating registration strategies, determining data needs, contracting with labs, overseeing studies, and completing EPA and state submissions. You will also be responsible for ongoing compliance and maintenance of registrations. Additionally, you will assess changes and customer needs, leveraging your expertise in pesticide registrations to drive innovation and ensure compliance. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills will enable you to work closely with stakeholders across the organization, providing advice on regulatory execution strategies and implementing initiatives that support our commitment to compliance, safety, and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Stay up to date with the latest developments in FIFRA and state regulatory agencies with a technically advanced understanding of impact assessments and advocacy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance and support new registration applications
Provide strategic guidance and support to R&D, Production, and Product Management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Represent the company in industry associations, working groups, and regulatory forums, fostering collaboration and driving compliance and responsible changes in assessment methods and chemical management practices
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Natural Sciences; PhD preferred
Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience and expertise in FIFRA submissions, including new active ingredients
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant professional experience in pesticide and biocide regulations, preferably gained from previous roles in an industrial company or relevant consulting experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical recommendations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and engage with stakeholders, demonstrated through practical experience in managing moderate to complex interdisciplinary projects
Ability to independently drive complex topics forward, make decisions, and take calculated risks while aligning with the larger vision and objectives as a team member

Pay Range for this position is: $95,200-$159,800 USD
