What will your job look like?

The Manager, Dispatch is responsible for all aspects of successful Dispatch Operations.  This role will be responsible for training all dispatch personnel on the day-to-day functions within the dispatch capacity. They will ensure all dispatch personnel have a firm understanding and knowledge of the route and trip operations.  The Manager, Dispatch will optimize the utilization of the AAA and partner with leadership to minimize missed trips.

What you’ll do:


  • Responsible for the employee experience during the integration process

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify potential synergies

  • Optimizing the utilization of the AAA fleet

  • Actively manage all dispatch services performed for the client in which we serve

  • Track, trend, analyze and take action on all aspects of dispatch operations

  • Ensure adequate coverage as required by contract, and with backup plans in place

  • Create continuity with all departments which are key to the overall Dispatch Operation

  • Partner with NEMT Dispatch team to minimize missed trips

  • Train all new dispatcher to perform all dispatch duties

  • Assist operations with organizing and routing trips based on schedule and location to ensure optimal performance

  • Report all issues to the applicable manager in a timely manner

  • Complete all retraining for current dispatchers on current and new policies and procedures

  • Assist operations with problems or issues relating to scheduling

  • Report and resolve all incidents pertaining to dispatcher performance

  • Monitor radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality

  • Record time of departure, destination, and expected time of return

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with Drivers

  • Review schedules and trip reconciliation daily to ensure trips area assigned promptly and accurately

  • Manage and maintain dispatcher schedules, time-off requests, and overtime tracker

  • Monitors daily system performance and maintain tracker for reporting purposes

  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • 3+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling expertise

  • Proven experience supervising and monitoring the delivery of contractual services

Skills:


  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with all peers, clients, and members

  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to read and respond to Outlook and Workday emails within 24 hours of receipt

  • Ability to problem-solve in a collaborative, professional manner

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills

  • Propose process improvements, as well as work with internal/external partners to support solutions

  • Demonstrate professional communications skills including proper grammar and spelling with all written and oral communications

  • Ability to schedule, organize and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Moderate to advanced computer skills

  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and team focused during high stress situations

  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

  • Must be able to communicate with staff of all job levels professionally

  • Knowledge of GPS and GIS systems preferred

  • Must be able to demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, two-way radio communication and data analysis skills

  • Regular attendance

Salary Min: $65,440

Salary Max: $75,000
