The Technical Specialist - Product Line will be responsible to grow the company's presence and customer relationships in the Food and Beverage Industry. Responsible for assisting sales/service teams to retain customer accounts and generate new business. Responsible for communicating customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated resulting in rapid new and organic sales growth. Demonstrate the company's core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to provide expert level knowledge in the field of food & beverage chemistry and applications
Collaborate with regional sales and service teams to accelerate sales cycle, as well as retain accounts
Provide value added benefit to customers utilizing expert knowledge to offer solutions
Accountable for the profitable growth within the assigned region and accounts
Responsible to provide customer technical interface, account acquisition, account retention, product development and technical training
Align with Research and Development (R&D) and Marketing teams in identifying products/systems to satisfy customer needs
Collaborate with Marketing/R&D Teams to develop training materials specific to the segment
Communicate in a professional and timely manner with both customers and field sales/service
Travel to current and prospective customers to development relationships, collaborate with sales/service teams, retain accounts and grow sales

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years' of relevant industry experience
Proven ability to build/maintain customer relationships at various levels within the customer's organization
Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong organization and time management skills with an attention to detail
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Involvement with Manufacturing Associations aligned with field of expertise preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to travel up to 75%
