As a Sr. Production Engineer (Class VI Injection) holds the responsibility of designing, planning, and managing production/injection operations. This role involves collaboration with the Subsurface Team while within the CO2 Operations team to ensure efficient and successful injection operations. Your primary focus will be on Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCUS) wells, specifically addressing Class VI injection requirements including production engineering operations during injection activities.Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering discipline (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical).
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:
10+ Years Production Engineering Experience.
Injection Operations Preferred.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must have valid Supervisors Well Control Certification.

The salary range for this role is $197,000-$198,000/yr.Essential duties and responsibilities:
Class VI Injection Requirements:
Collaborate with the regulatory compliance team to ensure compliance with Class VI well regulations.
Analyze and address the specific requirements related to Class VI injection wells.
Production Engineering (Class VI Injection Wells)
Define well operating envelopes according to regulatory requirements.
Responsible for injection targets for year, working with reservoir engineering to forecast injectivity index declines.
Responsible for Monitoring and measurement plans during operations including yearly temperature logs.
Develop operating and intervention budgets for yearly operating activity requirements.
Knowledge of nodal analysis including construction of model to monitor well performance (Prosper, GAB, MBAL)
Be an advocate for safety by designing and implementing projects to improve safety performance.
Assist in the preparation and submission of all required government permits, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Develop authorization for expenditures (AFEs) and track project costs, reviewing and approving invoices for accuracy
Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration:
Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver company goals safely and efficiently.
Collaborate closely with the Operations and Production functions to identify, prioritize, and schedule intervention projects.
Make sure implementation OCC/SCADA, PI systems are consistent with well design, well integrity considerations, and operating envelops.
Detailed Procedures and Contingency Plans:
Prepare detailed procedures and contingency plans aligned with corporate well control and design standards.
Support operations involving workover rigs, coiled tubing units, snubbing units, electric line, and slickline.
Responsible for Well integrity:
Organize and run annual temperature surveys for regulatory compliance.
Call for wellhead testing and maintenance when required, such as valve leak tests, casing and tubing hanger testing, repacking, as required.
Production tree valve replacements as required.
Interpret temperature surveys, pipe and cement evaluations to verify integrity.
Prepare well-integrity reports required for WDEQ, EPA, WOGCC, etc.
Develop Well failure model or well integrity model:
Build and maintain failure model, with barrier diagram, discussion about well failure mechanisms, expected injection and annuli pressure trends.
Define well operating envelope from failure model.
Define, explain, and enforce two-barrier policy.
Daily Support and Reporting:
Provide daily support to field personnel, ensuring safe and efficient execution of planned work activities.
Project Management and Analytics:
Manage multiple concurrent well projects, providing onsite field engineering support during execution.
Use data analytics and statistics to make value-based decisions.
Procurement and Metrics:
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders/bids for relevant support services and materials.
Develop and maintain metrics to drive high-quality, cost-effective operations.
Procurement Guidance and Operation Closeouts:
Provide functional guidance and technical work scopes for procurement bid processes.
Post operation closeouts, reviewing performance against plan, capturing lessons learned, and documenting improvements.
