Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Researches, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support an organization's application, OT and data systems. Designs advanced solutions involving multiple systems and integrations. Consults with Operations leadership and users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify architectural objectives. Writes documentation to describe solution development. Works on complex projects and problems. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. May assume a team lead role for the work group.

Responsible for ensuring the system is architeched and configured to satisfy compliance requirements defined by the Compliance and Field Operations departments; play a major role in end-user support, ongoing development, and the implementation and support of the Operation Technology suite of applicationsExperience/Specific Knowledge:


  • A minimum of five (5) years active and direct work experience in Operations Technology
  • In addition to the Education requirements stated above, individuals must have one year of satisfactory experience in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project in data administration, database management systems, operating systems, data communication systems, capacity planning, and/or on-line application programming.
  • Experience in application support/user help desks; administering an enterprise system.
  • Demonstrated experience working with database applications.
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps.

Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

  • Clear understanding of Tallgrass Operating Procedures/Policies and business processes.
  • Ability to administer and configure EAM database and applications, including implementation, security setup, maintenance, deployment, upgrade, and customization.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise asset and work management processes; oracle database and SQL script and JDBC applications.
  • Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, focus attention on details, follow work rules and adhere to established work schedules.
  • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.

Working Conditions:

  • Will be required to carry a mobile phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • Occasional overnight travel and weekend travel may be required.
  • May be required to work nights and weekends, or non-traditional work hours as needed.
  • Successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This is not a supervisory position. May be called upon to coordinate/participate in daily workflow and special projects.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:


  • BS in Computer Science, or a related field, with 3-5 years experience in system administration, business system analysis, escalation support, or systems administration experience with IBM Maximo Software Products; Actuate Report Server management/administration; or
  • MS in Computer Science with 3 years of Maximo administration experience.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $93,000-$125,000/yearEssential Duties and Responsbilities:


  • Responsibilities focus upon development of various technical solutions and monitor the whole system, understand all interactions between components on a given level of abstraction, as well as to define limitations and requirements for source code.
  • Leads the collection and interpretation of functional users' requirements, OT and Cyber standards and participation in the identification, technical translation, development and implementation of solutions to meet those needs, primarily as they relate to enterprise solutions and applications, interfaces, reporting and data.
  • Converts project specifications, using flowcharts and diagrams, into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language able to be processed by computer, applying knowledge of computer programming techniques and computer languages.
  • Highly proficient in programming languages, operating systems, networking, databases, cyber security, virtualization and data center technologies.
  • Archive and restore data; support and maintain OT System reports; run queries and create ad hoc reports.
  • Evaluate OT System performance; troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Serve as liaison between vendor and OT System Users to resolve issues.
  • Work with hosting provider to apply, test, and verify fixes/patches to OT System.
  • Support all OT System environments, including testing, development, pre-prod, training, and production.
  • Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written) in person, by telephone, and in email and listen carefully.
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
  • Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined
