Prudential Select Strategies is a registered investment advisor that manages portfolios of alternative assets and provides external manager advisory services. Prudential Select Strategies is currently responsible for managing over $15.0 billion, comprised of private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
Prudential Select Strategies is seeking an experienced operational due diligence professional to support the assessment of asset manager’s business and operational risks across a range of strategies in both alternative and traditional investment strategies. The position reports to the Head of Operational Due Diligence.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Candidates will be expected to follow a hybrid work arrangement with on-site expectations (Newark, NJ office) of 2 - 3 days a week.
What you can expect:
• Review and assess the operations, internal controls and platform-specific risks of traditional and alternative investment managers.
• Review managers’ documentation, including but not limited to, offering memorandums, financial statements, regulatory filings, marketing materials, due diligence questionnaires, valuation policies and compliance policies and procedures.
• Document operational due diligence findings and recommendations, as well as activities performed to support conclusions.
• Effectively communicate summary conclusions to the investment committee.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing investment managers.
• Work closely with the Prudential Select Strategies Investment, Risk, Compliance, Performance & Analytics, and Operations Teams.
What you’ll need:
• Minimum of four years of financial services experience; preferably a minimum of two years conducting due diligence for a variety of alternative and/or traditional.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Excellent interpersonal and oral / written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $125,000 to $140,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
