This role will serve as the DesignOps partner to the Private Sharing & Messaging + Content Liquidity Sub-Pillars Design Director within Social Experience to streamline and improve operational efficiency, support business growth, and enhance team performance. This person would be the sole partner for 1 Product Design Director, 1 Product Design Manager, 10 Product Design Individual Contributors as well as support horizontal operational efforts across Social Experience Design including but not limited to Social Experience Design Quality/Craft efforts.
Design Program Manager Responsibilities:
Build streamlined operations such as process management, systems optimization, operational frameworks, product design expertise to enhance data driven decisions, and direct interface and collaboration with Messenger and Content Liquidity Family of Apps Design & cross-functional counterparts.
Identify and drive large product initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines and many moving parts - Roadmapping & Design Planning
Prioritize, assess tradeoffs, propose clear solutions and communicate strategically
Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve product team efficiency and impact
Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives and establish clear next steps and owners, while resolving blocks that impede progress
Proactively assess risk, raise flags and resolve issues before they become problems for larger teams
Sought out as the operations expert to the management team and trusted leader to cross-functional partners
Communicate persuasively to the right audience to get buy-in and feedback
Proactively problem solve and distribute information effectively
Define and measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively, continually refining and iterating to ensure usage and adoption
Design Portfolio Reporting & Tracking
Scale programs and initiatives when necessary
Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships and contracts
Operationalize & influence Design sprints
Integration of operations for BluePrint Design System
Drive and support Design quality, craft, education efforts
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience working with product teams or programs (or other equivalent fields) from roadmapping through delivery
Experience working directly with product designers, user experience researchers, and content designers
Track record of operating independently and without oversight
Experience leading product or business strategy in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing vendors and contractors
Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions
Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate and/or Graduate Degree
