Leads & Supervises production employees in a manufacturing environment: Ensure safe, proper processing procedures by employees and efficient production of quality products through communication from managers, and to line employees.
Responsibilities

Primary:
Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance to their intended use and safe for human consumption
Oversees the production process and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources are on hand
Monitor and make all adjustments necessary on running of production
In charge of production speed and quality of product produced
Responsible for placement and supervision of employees
Assist with timesheets records for department employees
Delegate job responsibility to other employees
Training of employees in their jobs
Maintain safe operations in all areas
Supervise Team Leaders, Lead Person, Machine Operators and Product Team Members
Manages budget efficiently and partners with Plant Manager and Director of Manufacturing to ensure budget adherence
Leads sanitation team and ensures the proper efforts are executed to comply with Safety standards
Models excellence in Occupational Safety and Quality Standards,
Participates regularly in GMP audits and activities
Ensures direct repots are executing and meeting expectations
Coaches and develops direct reports and team members
Implements and monitors programs and policies are followed that include Safety, Quality, Environmental.
Maintain strong partnership with Quality, Human Resources, Finance and Procurement teams.
Secondary:
Take care of special projects as assigned
Follow and enforce company policies
Follow and enforce safety procedures
Follow and enforce food safety programs
Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job
Qualifications
3-5 years managerial; prior work experience in food manufacturing environment and production and process improvement experience
Supervisory experience required
Must be able to effectively lead others
Must be able to accept and give orders
Excellent people skills a must
Excellent communication skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Sound judgment
Resourceful and well organized
Ability to work well under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
Must be able to teach and train employees in their assigned jobs
Forklift experience a plus
Must be familiar with Food Processing equipment and operation
Must be able to work any shift
Bilingual preferred not required
Education & Certification:
Bachelor of Science required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb stairs
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements to perform job
Work Environment:
Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures Work indoors and outdoors
