The Fleet Mechanic maintains and repairs any fleet vehicle owned by Adena Lakeland and CIM Fabricators, LLC. In addition, the Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for performing other shop duties including small engine repair, as well as, some heavy equipment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Maintains repair work orders
Consults with the field to evaluate tasks required
Prepares work plans after full review of the issues
Inspects equipment, including suspensions, steering, exhausts, hydraulics, etc.
Ensures quality maintenance and repair of heavy equipment in a timely manner
Ensures heavy equipment is in optimal condition
Operates various equipment in a safe manner during maintenance and repairs
Maintains records of parts utilized and services performed on equipment
Travels to jobsites as needed to repair equipment
Orders the needed parts and supplies to complete fleet repairs
Completes annual inspections of all vehicles and trailers
Ensures ongoing maintenance and repairs of vehicle and trailer fleet based on manufacturers’ recommendations
Installs and repairs GPS tracking on fleet vehicles
Operates all tools and equipment properly and safely in the automotive bay of the shop
Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment
Performs other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Sufficient education or combination of experience, education and training that provides desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of the role
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Excellent communication skills

Ability to make decisions based on the company’s best interest in relation to maintaining the fleet
