We are looking for a dynamic Applications Engineer to join our team!

Where we are located: Our facility is located in Hopkinsville, KY. This area is a great location for commuters and residents of the Nashville, TN and Clarksville, TN areas. Within a 30-45-minute commute are opportunities to live in the heart of a vibrant city or live in a suburb with all the amenities.
What the position entails: This position will manage engineering launch functions for the extrusion, refrigeration and HVAC markets. Develop new and innovative product designs, bringing customer-focused, cost-effective products and processes to market.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage new product implementations from concept through production launch and process sign offProvide technical support to customers and Brazeway sales force. Be the technical voice of the customer for Brazeway manufacturing plantsDrive cost reductions through innovative product designsExecute and improve engineering and ISO/IATF documentation, processes and systemsManage designs and drive continuous improvement throughout the product life cycleManage APQP process, assuring product launches are delivered on time, meet quality goals, and are documented completely and accuratelyEngage new and existing customers to grow existing productsSupport customers new product development by initiating cost estimatesAssist Operations Team by making customer visits to support quality issues, trial runs, etc.Actively support and manage within Brazeways mission, vision, Code of Conduct and Process Based Leadership guidelinesActively supports our 5S + Safety programs
What a candidate must have to be qualified for the role:
Three years of engineering experience Working knowledge of APQP, Lean, ISO/IATF, Six Sigma, project management and drafting are strong assets Willingness to travel for site support at all Brazeway manufacturing locations, customers and suppliers, up to 25% Excellent organization, communication, presentation, people, computer and written skills. Strong commitment to a team environment Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred but not required.
