*Utility Production Specialist at University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Description:

OUHSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges.  We are currently building word-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer.

Duties: 

• Calculates and prepares all steam and chill water production reports.


• Establishes and updates vendor and parts information system.


• Calculates and prepares all production reports required to identify production and usage of all steam and chill water generated by steam the steam and chill plant. Uses a planimeter to identify the area under the curve on all building meter charts.  Uses the meter chart data to prepare production reports by means of established mathematical calculation.


• Maintains and updates a vendor information file containing data on supplies, parts, and costs so vendor information is readily identified in the event of major disruption to the plan's operation.  


• Prepares requisitions when parts, machinery, or supplies are needed.


• Prepares rotating shift schedules on a quarterly basis for all personnel. Ensures plant coverage on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) day week basis.


• Performs clerical functions for plant management, to include but not limited to answering phone, greeting visitors to the plant, and paging plant personnel.


• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of any site support position to include assisting any skilled trade.

Required Education:  High school diploma or GED, AND

• 12 months general office or clerical experience.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate a calculator and two-way radio


• Ability to perform diverse tasks requiring organizational skills     


• Proficient with a calculator and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook     


• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing


• Ability to prepare reports in a timely manner


• Ability to be organized and detail oriented
