Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Picker/Packer is to pull and package all outgoing shipments. You will be reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to define items to be moved, gathered, distributed or shipped. A crucial job function is the verification of orders by cross referencing parts in our ERP system. The picker/packer will occasionally assist with shipping and receiving functions.

Essential Job Responsibilities: 


  • Pulls and packs product based on daily orders

  • Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner

  • Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation

  • Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues

  • Operates various pieces of equipment (i.e. Bendi, Palletizer, Dolly Loader, Pallet Wrapper, Forklift, and Electrical Pallet Jacks)

  • Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes

  • Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices

  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area

  • Serves as shipping clerk back-up

  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Essential Skills, Experience and Education: 


  • At least 2 years of continuous parts picker/packing experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing setting

  • At least 1 years of CRM/ERP experience, Syteline preferred

  • Must have time management skills

  • Must have experience using FedEx shipper

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English

 

 

Essential Physical Requirements: 


  • Regularly required to lift, carry, pull and push 50lbs. unassisted

  • Regularly standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and turning

  • Exposed to outdoor weather conditions

Required Work Hours and Schedules: 


  • Must be able to work between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM

  • Occasional Saturday’s, as required to meet Production needs
