Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Office of Faculty Development! This position can reside in either Wilmington, Delaware, Jacksonville, Florida or Orlando, Florida and is remote with in-person meeting attendance required as needed. The primary functions of the Office of Faculty Development (OFD) Program Coordinator are to provide direct administrative and management support to the OFD. Duties include assisting with the coordination of mentoring and professional development programs across Nemours. The coordinator will work with the Program Manager, Director and physician liaisons to facilitate in the organization of activities in the office as well as related activities needed to integrate OFD across Nemours sites and divisions. The program coordinator will compose and prepare correspondence, reports, facilitates faculty connection to resources and plans and implements OFD programs. The associate will work both independently and under the advisement OFD manager to support the advancement and development of Nemours faculty. The Program Coordinator will implement and improve operational practices and procedures within OFD. They will serve as the lead and key resource person to support team members and others related to effort reporting requirements.

Job functions will involve working with faculty and senior administrative staff across Nemours sites on a daily basis. Duties include initiation, coordination, and management of day to day professional development activities; providing leadership for OFD support services both within Nemours and with our academic partners; planning web-based and in-person curricula, resources, & educational programs; evaluating program performance; developing reports, planning and executing meetings; developing online or onsite professional development events; assuring adherence with budgetary and financial standards, and assisting with the management of programming budgets. Routinely multi-tasks, solves complex problems and is open to constant challenge and change. Ability to work independently and prioritize is essential. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs and ability to learn other needed software programs is required. Ability to achieve results in the absence of explicit guidance and/or instruction is expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.
  • Assist the OFD Manager including program evaluation, implementation of integrated programs, facilitation of curricula, tracking of budgets, and other activities as needed.
  • Support the management of the OFD with coordination of activities by organizing meetings, travel reimbursements, requestions, possible budget review, and administrative support.
  • Provide administrative management support with the implementation and facilitation of the collection of needs assessment data from Nemours associates and developing programs and educational opportunities to address identified needs.
  • Help with the deployment and data collection of web-based content and program tracking tools.
  • Support educational grant writing including drafting, proofing, and organizing submission components such as program budgets, and progress reports to support OFD initiatives.
  • Manage and facilitate OFD networking, collaborating, and orientation events for faculty faculty including outreach, open houses, participation in huddles, and other programs as needed.
  • Work with OFD staff and Nemours communications offices to share successes across Nemours, with our academic partners, and with the community.
  • Support the integration of work of the OFD with other Nemours entities engaged in professional development and academic advancement (e.g., Talent Development, Learning Services, Research, Editorial Services, Library, UME/GME/CME Education, etc.) and identify collaborations and synergies to support faculty at Nemours.
