Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic Sr. Business Development Executive to join our Biotech East Sales team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive service industry expertise across the Pharma/Biotech/CDMO sectors and will be adept at coordinating winning solutions and strategies tailored to our Biotech accounts while representing our organization's offerings including large molecule drug substance, drug product (sterile fill/finish) and clinical supplies pack and label. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive sales growth in the Biotech market segment.
Drive overall execution of sales goals, including identifying and winning business with new customers and providing an elite customer experience by working cross-functionally with business unit leaders, subject matter experts, and strategic relationship managers.
Work across our global network, supporting a harmonized customer experience.
Become an expert in the partner's pipeline and portfolio to proactively identify cross-divisional commercial strategies. Deliver tailored, competitive solutions to customer's distinct requirements.
Stay ahead of customer needs through understanding of their company's imperatives, including key operating cycles, budget cycle, strategic sourcing criteria, and business or technical processes.
Lead and manage sophisticated deal structuring and negotiation processes.
Coordinate and represent the business in senior-level executive and customer meetings.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of field sales or business development experience, specifically focused on multiple CDMO services (drug substance, drug product, and/or clinical pack/label)
Demonstrated success in cross-selling and handling complex deal structures
Strong communication and influencing skills
Proven track record of successfully competing in a highly competitive sales environment
Customer-centric approach
Continuous improvement mentality with the ability to drive innovation
Self-motivated with a strong bias for action and results
Travel to visit customers and showcase Thermo Fisher sites, not to exceed 50%
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences field required
MBA or post graduate scientific degree required
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $128,000.00-$191,975.00.
