This position reports to the North American Public Safety Regional Development Team. This group designs, develops, customizes, and implements software interfaces and integrations on a product and project basis.
This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, delivery and support of software development tasks as part of the larger Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and/or Law Enforcement Records Management (RMS) deployment projects.
Responsibilities may include:
Oversee the resource assignment, project budget and delivery timelines for the team and ensure alignment with the larger CAD and RMS deployments
Provide routine progress updates on project deliverables to stakeholders
Use project management tools to track progress, risks, budget, delivery timelines, support issues and resource assignments
Coordinate tasks with dependent groups (such as implementation, global development organizations, cloud operations, etc.)
Coordinate activities with partner vendors and other 3 rd parties as appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Software Engineering or other related field or commensurate, documented experience in a role with similar responsibilities
5+ years' experience in project management
Knowledge of the Software Development Project Lifecycle (SDPL)
Excellent communication, organization and critical thinking skills
Ability to use tools such as: Confluence and Microsoft Office
Experience using workflow automations to increase productivity
Experience managing work in Microsoft Azure DevOps (certifications preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services is a plus
