We are seeking an experienced Senior HiCAMS Technician to join our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) team in the Asheville, NC area.
This position will support significant infrastructure projects, including the I-40 project in Haywood County extending to the Tennessee line.
As a Senior HiCAMS Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with contract agreements, standards, and specifications related to project documentation and reporting using HiCAMS software. The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience in HiCAMS for project tracking, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform and manage all HiCAMS-related functions, ensuring compliance with contract agreements, standards, and specifications.
Process monthly and final estimates, verify calculations, and resolve pay record and material quantity discrepancies.
Compile, analyze, compute, edit, and process field data.
Manage and track project documents, including material prepayments and contractor certified payrolls for FHWA compliance.
Perform a full range of mathematical calculations and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Create requisitions for inventory management and administer payroll/time entry using the SAP system.
Review project budgets, prepare reports, and ensure technician certifications and DBE participation are properly documented.
Assist with general office duties and provide technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of progressive experience with HiCAMS software for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, standards, and specifications.
Proficiency in record-keeping and performing mathematical calculations.
Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and SharePoint.
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field.
Extensive knowledge of HiCAMS software and project management principles.
OSHA 10-hour certification.
Experience with construction materials testing and inspection.
Familiarity with NCDOT policies and standards.
