Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retirement Benefit Plan Strategy, the Senior Analyst, Retirement Operations is responsible for supporting the operations, administration, strategy, and communications of AMETEK's qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. This includes pension, savings, and executive plans. As many aspects of our benefit plans are outsourced, the ability to manage outside service providers is critical.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:


  • Oversee administrative systems, processes, and procedures for efficient management of AMETEK's retirement plans.
  • Provide ongoing analytical and technical support to vendors, vendor service centers and internal business partners (HRIS, payroll, site HR); resolves data integrity issues, suggests protocols for ongoing administration of plans.
  • Support retirement plan strategy and implement strategic initiatives and plan enhancements.
  • Maintain working knowledge of plan design elements, requirements, and consideration relating to enrollment and eligibility.
  • Provide guidance and support to all locations on various retirement plans.
  • Provide guidance and guidelines to outsourced service centers; ensure integration between AMETEK and all vendors.
  • Monitor processing needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements.
  • Monitor all interfaces between AMETEK outsourcing partners and vendors.
  • Resolve data integrity issues, suggests protocols for ongoing administration of plans.
  • Ensure HRIS and other technology tools are used effectively and contain accurate, appropriate data.
  • Track department spend for on-demand budget reporting and forecasting.
  • Maintain department online files and archives promoting easy access to plan documents and vendor contracts.
  • Manage 401(k) and pension non-discrimination testing and corrections.
  • Lead audits of the 401(k) plan, working closely with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of the audits.
  • Generate annual pension census and assist with audits related to the pension plans.
  • Approve retirement plan transactions.
  • Responsible for overseeing the reconciliation and funding of weekly 401(k) contributions/loan payments.
  • Serve as key point person for all 401(k) participant issues and site HR inquiries.
  • Assist in the review and amendments of retirement plan documents, SPD and addendums.
  • Coordinate 401(k) education and enrollment meetings with vendor.
  • Confirm Highly Compensated Employees under the 401(k) Plan and coordinate necessary communications.
  • Responsible for the processing and funding pension PBGC filings.
  • Assist in 5500 Reporting - Schedule C data collection.
  • Manage integration of acquisition-related retirement plan activities.
  • Attend quarterly 401(k) Administrative Committee meeting and present plan statistics.
  • Conduct audit of annual 401(k) corporate spend and budgeting.
  • Assist the manager in holding vendors accountable for service levels, quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Manage billing process ensuring timely and accurate invoice payment and tracking of retirement plan fees.
  • Lead and support vendor evaluations and vendor change projects.
  • Support Health & Welfare benefits team on special projects, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
  • CEBS certification or ASPPA designation is beneficial.
  • 7+ years related experience, preferably for a plan sponsor in corporate benefits.
  • Prior work in an outsourced environment, system management, knowledge of 401(k), pension, and non-qualified retirement plans are preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of ERISA, HR, benefits and business administration.
  • Technical experience in retirement plan administration required.
  • Leadership, collaboration, and the ability to form and maintain external and internal business partnership are essential to the success of this position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management including senior executives.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal skills.
  • Analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tasks accomplished through multiple software and system applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $80,000

Salary Maximum: $100,000
