Location: Preferably near a Costco Regional Office Market (Dallas, TX) or Springdale, AR
This position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions which are aligned with both Tyson and Costco's objectives that achieve desired business results. This role involves developing strategies to acquire new and retain existing business, fostering strong relationships with the assigned Costco Regions, and analyzing market trends to identify growth opportunities. As a CDM, you will work closely with cross functional teams such as Business Units, Sales Operation Managers, Innovation, Supply/Demand planners to align customer strategies with overall business objectives. This role will directly report to the Sr CDM of sales.
To excel in the CDM role, you should have strong communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. The CDM should be able to think strategically, drive results, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include:
Customer Relationship Management: developing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned Costco Regions and Depts. This involves understanding their regional needs, addressing their concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Business Development: identifying new business opportunities and taking action by collaborating with Innovation team by providing insights, market analysis and necessary information needed.
Account Management: understanding the Costco business objectives, identifying areas for growth and implementing strategies to increase sales. Achieve sales volume and spending budgets, while maintaining T&E, Deductions, AR. Maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews, volume commitments, documentation, and trackers.
Cross Functional Collaboration: working closely with various internal teams such as customer service, product development, Business Units, Sales Operations Managers, Supply/Demand Planners. Consolidate and lead internal discussions on behalf of the Costco Team/Regions.
Customer Analytics: analyzing customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth. Using data driven insights to develop and identify key areas of opportunity.
Customer Advocacy: acting as a voice of the customer within the organization. Advocating effectively for customer needs, gathering feedback, and driving improvements to processes

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 5 plus years sales experience; knowledge of CPG (Consumer Package Goods) of Fresh and Frozen branded packaged preferred.
Computer Skills: Expected to be fully literate in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Trade Systems and PowerBI preferred
Strong selling and organization skills along the ability to navigate cross functionally to find solutions.
Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently; Ability to translate customer direction into sales successes.
Travel: 8 or more domestic trips per year

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson's total compensation package.
