To oversee our cutting-edge facilities, we are searching for a dynamic and experienced Steam & Chilled Plant Manager! This individual will manage all aspects of our water plant to ensure safe, economical and efficient operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Mechanical Systems and Equipment – Candidate should have thorough knowledge and experience operating and maintaining boilers, chillers, cooling towers, distribution piping, pumps and valves. This would include establishing and overseeing maintenance schedules, repairs and operating procedures.


  • Control Systems and Automation – Candidate should have experience and technical knowledge of operating and maintaining boiler and chiller control systems. Candidate should have the ability to operate plant equipment efficiently. We desire a candidate that can bring an energy conservation perspective to plant operations.


  • Water Treatment – Knowledge of water treatment to prevent corrosion, scaling and fouling of chillers, cooling towers and boilers.


  • Leadership and Team Management – Ability to manage and lead a team of operators, foreman, mechanics and technicians. Willingness to mentor employees as needed with helpful and safe tips and tricks of the trade. As well an ability to coordinate and schedule appropriate training to enhance team skills and knowledge. We are looking for a candidate that can inspire and motivate the team.


  • Problem solving and decision making – Candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and ability. They should have the ability to make independent decisions for plant operations and ability to resolve operating issues when they occur.


  • Safety – Candidate should instill a culture of safety, recognize hazards and proactively address safety issues.

Required Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, AND

  • 60 months managerial experience at a physical plant.


Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree. 


Certifications:



  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of start date.


Supervision: Supervises all personnel at the SCWP - 17 employees.
