Job Description/Functions: EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a Materials Associate specializing in shipping to join our team in our Leesburg, VA location! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.
The position of Materials Associate - Shipping prepares all completed products with proper packaging/boxing for shipment as well as all shipping documentation and labels for both domestic and international shipments.
Package, ship, and invoice finished products
Maintain accurate inventory levels of finished products
Generate tracking reports as requested for delivery confirmation
Manage inventory of packing supplies and re-order as needed
Crosstrain within the Materials Department for relief support as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience with computer-controlled inventory and electronic components, required
Experience in domestic and overseas shipping and packaging environment, required
Experience with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) used for international shipping, preferred
Strong attention to details
Good communicator
Able to lift 40 pounds
Will be required to obtain forklift certification
Working Conditions:
Shipping environment
9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off
Overtime is expected when necessary
