Job Description Summary
Post-Doctoral Scholar to pursue specialized research training and expertise in planning and execution of clinical research projects in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health; implements research studies in extramurally funded studies of mental health, using in extramurally funded studies to effects environmental exposures on mental health, using variety of methodologies including neuropsychological testing, EEG, neuroimaging. Primary role would be in the Margolis Environment Brain and behavior Lab with a focus on overseeing ongoing partnerships in Ghana with the Kintampo Health Research Center. Duties include: helps oversee study activities in Ghana, helps with ECHO analyses, assists in performing statistical analyses; writes and prepares manuscripts, articles, and research reports for publication and presentation; writes and submits grants applications to obtain funding to support research; provides supervision for research assistants and diagnostic interviewers; attends lab meeting weekly.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree in biological sciences or related area required; clinical degree in School psychology is preferred (licensure not required); experience in neuroimaging preferred; experience and publication record in environmental exposures science is preferred; knowledge about the ECHO program is preferred; ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research preferred.
Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
Additional Information:This position will require travel throughout the State of Ohio as well as flexibility with hours worked which may include evenings and weekends.
