The continuation of this position is contingent upon the availability of funding and contract renewal.The role of the PHP (Pre-Health Professions) Program Coordinator is essential for the successful implementation of the PHP 2024-2026 grant award. This position reports directly to the Principal Investigator (PI) and the Director of the PHP 2024-2026 Grant within the STEM College. The Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for program participants concerning Academic Year programming and associated policies, ensuring compliance with all University regulations and procedures. The PHP Program Coordinator will support participants in comprehending the goals and expected outcomes of the PHP Program, while also offering guidance on university policies. Effective collaboration with faculty and administrators is imperative for providing academic advising and addressing the educational and success needs of both individual students and groups. In conjunction with the PHP faculty advisor, the PHP Program Coordinator will assist students, faculty, and the PI in accordance with the guidelines and procedures specified in the grant proposal.QualificationsA bachelor's degree in natural sciences is required. Applicants must demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel, as well as a proven ability to type with accuracy. The preferred candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication abilities. Previous experience in working with health professions is beneficial. Candidates should be flexible, have a strong customer service focus, and excel in a team-oriented environment. Essential qualities include organizational skills, effective time management, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may also be considered.
