This position plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front office area for the department.

Position Description

As an Administrative Coordinator, you will:

  • Serve as the principal source of information for in-person and electronic inquiries. Provide smooth day-to-day flow of communications across the department while managing, triaging, and responding to the main department email account.
  • Serve as the resident expert in the SeatGen application and the IT point person; coordinate with direct responsibility the creation of required seating assignments and serve as the primary contact to faculty and staff, providing training and support as needed.
  • Advise students, faculty, and staff on official recording policy; manage student requests from the approval process through the posting of class recordings according to the Handbook of Academic Polices.
  • Provide front line back-up support to the Academic Records Coordinator keeping abreast on transcript processing, enrollment and bar certifications, academic policy, and guidelines.
  • Assist with scheduling rooms, as needed, for academic events using the room scheduling software, EMS.
  • Oversee and support the department accounts payable, processing billing, receipts, administration of wire transfers, communicating concerns to the Deputy Registrar.
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean, Deputy Registrar, and other members of the staff as needed, using a variety of technical applications to accomplish tasks and complex projects as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations.


Basic Qualifications

3 or more years of experience in office administration or related field (business environment and/or customer service). Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
