Job Description: PDS Optical is a SDVOSB Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that manufactures a very large number of eyeglasses each day. We have Optical Laboratories in Louisville, KY and Fort Lauderdale, FL and manage many optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. We are looking for an employee who has an eye for detail and the ability to work fast and efficiently to join our team. The Finish Tint lab technician cleans, dyes, or tints and coats the edged and uncut lenses as specified on the order.
The shift is Monday - Friday, from 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm. The starting pay is $17/hr. We offer 401K options with company match, medical, dental and more! No previous experience is necessary, we will provide training.

Clean and examine all lenses before tinting. Look for obvious defects.
Check the material type on the work ticket and tint as ordered.
Must learn and retain all tinting requirements that pertain to solids, gradients, colors, density, UV (Ultraviolet) and Scratch Coating.
Other duties, tasks and activities that may be associated with this position or assigned.
