The Loan Operations Manager supports the SVP, Director of Loan Operations by managing the day-to-day operations of the loan processing and servicing team. This position focuses on the tactical execution of operational strategies, ensuring the smooth functioning of workflows, compliance with regulations, and delivery of exceptional service. While the Director of Loan Operations provides strategic oversight and drives high-level initiatives, the Manager ensures operational excellence and efficiency in implementing those directives.

Supervise and coordinate daily loan operations, including processing, documentation, servicing, and portfolio administration.
Execute the operational plans set forth by the SVP, Director of Loan Operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Address and resolve escalated operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Directly manage loan operations staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment by mentoring team members and promoting professional growth.
Manage resource allocation and scheduling to meet operational demands.
Ensure that day-to-day operations comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
Support audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses to findings.
Oversee the implementation of technology solutions and operational improvements as directed by the SVP, Director of Loan Operations.
Troubleshoot operational issues with systems and work with IT or vendors to resolve them.
Provide feedback to the Director regarding operational challenges and potential improvements.
Act as a liaison between loan operations and internal/external stakeholders to address issues and improve service delivery.
Collaborate with other departments, such as credit, underwriting, and compliance, to streamline processes.
Track and report key performance metrics to the SVP, Director of Loan Operations.
Analyze daily operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and filing cabinets. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
Travel
Travel is required for this position.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (or additional related experience).
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in loan operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certification (e.g., Certified Loan Specialist, Certified Banking Operations Professional) is a plus.
Proficiency in core banking systems (e.g., Jack Henry Silverlake) and loan origination/servicing platforms (e.g., LoanVantage, LaserPro, or similar).
Experience in a mid-sized to large bank (e.g., $5B–$10B in assets) with complex loan portfolios.
Demonstrated ability to streamline operations and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
