As the SharePoint Administrator, the individual will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting SharePoint environments while ensuring optimal performance and availability of SharePoint applications. In this role, the SharePoint Administrator will be required to have expertise in SharePoint administration, IIS configuration, SQL Server database management, and related technologies.
(This role requires on site 5 days a week in Colorado Springs, CO)
Responsibilities
Installs, configures, and maintains SharePoint farm environments (SharePoint Server 2016/2019/Online)
Monitors and maintains SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and content management features
Administers SharePoint permissions, security settings, and user roles
Performs routine SharePoint farm health checks and diagnostics
Troubleshoots and resolves SharePoint-related issues (performance, reliability, and security)
Manages SharePoint upgrades, patches, and service packs
Configures and troubleshoots IIS web servers hosting SharePoint applications.
Ensures proper IIS configuration for optimal SharePoint performance, including SSL configurations and web application settings
Manages IIS logging, request handling, and diagnostics to ensure smooth operations of SharePoint services
Administers and supports SQL Server databases used by SharePoint, ensuring optimal performance and availability
Performs regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning for SharePoint-related databases
Monitors SQL Server performance, query optimization, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Must have and maintain a Secret personnel clearance and must be eligible for a TS
Must possess DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification (Security+ce or equivalent) and a Microsoft certificate
Familiarity with Oracle databases and experience in RDS and SQL Technology
Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and ability to function without direct oversight
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience
An active TS/SCI
Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Serveror equivalent legacy certificates MCITP, MCSE, MCSD, or MCSM Certifications
ITIL V3 or V4 certification
3+ years of experience in SharePoint administration (SharePoint 2016, 2019, or SharePoint Online)
3+ years of experience with custom coding (X)HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Strong experience with IIS configuration and troubleshooting, including handling SharePoint web applications, SSL certificates, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience in SQL Server management (SQL Server 2016/2019), including database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint, IIS, and SQL Server automation
