This role is responsible for onsite and reporting support on various projects including documentation, field inspection, and project reports. This position will report to the assigned Project Manager or Project Engineer. Additionally, this role will involve working on Tollway System-wide site locations, which may include field inspections. Data entry work is anticipated to be remote work. 3-GIS training will be offered.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor onsite activities for projects across multiple disciplines and companies
Act as an inspector on job sites following contract and project guidelines
Perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations
Includes a role as a hands-on Field Technician
Initiate action as needed to ensure projects follow contract and compliance obligations
Conduct standardized tests for multiple projects and report out on results to project teams
Gather and maintain data including testing results and drawings
Schedule and attend job meetings
Assemble and distribute meeting minutes
Provide support to the Project Team to help ensure those project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
Perform other duties as required/directed
Requirements:
An Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
0-7 years of experience, preferably in engineering, project or construction management; transportation and construction industries preferred
Previous Field Inspection work is a plus
GIS experience is a plus
Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to balance multiple priorities, work and communicate effectively in a team environment, and meet deadlines
Experience using MS Office suite, Microstation or AutoCAD and industry related project management software
