As a Senior Engineer, you will work with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. serving as a Project Manager and Client Manager. Your project team will include engineers and scientists with varying levels of experience and expertise. You'll be responsible for supporting and preparing deliverables, such as permit applications, compliance plans, and reports for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, power generation, biogas, chemicals, metals, and transportation. You'll gain exposure to environmental permitting and compliance for multiple media, including air quality, water quality, solid waste, and hazardous waste. You will maintain the current business and develop new business as part of your role. You'll have opportunities to work with Montrose's multiple business divisions to provide comprehensive services to our clients.

A DAY IN THE LIFE



As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing multiple projects in the Valley Forge, PA region. You'll interact directly with regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.


This role will be responsible for a full range of activities including but not limited to:


• Perform technical project work in support of our Brownfields'/environmental regulatory service programs.


• Develop business through marketing, existing client relationships, and networking.


• Oversight and preparation of compliance plans, reports, and permit applications for multiple state and federal environmental regulatory programs associated with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, EPCRA, and the Oil Pollution Prevention Act.


• Conduct site visits to gather data and information and collect samples (soil, water, air) to support environmental compliance at industrial, commercial, and institutional sites.


• Assist with environmental management system (EMS) and compliance program development.


• Draft air permit applications and develop emission inventories.


• Assist the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and prepare reports.


• Write compliance plans including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans.


• Perform environmental compliance audits, draft reports, and assist with corrective action programs.


• Work onsite at client facilities in support of the client's environmental, health and safety (EHS) program.


• Assist with communications between clients and regulators.


• Maintains confidentiality at all times.


• Exercises safe work practices by following all safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.


• Participate in our continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.


• Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.


• Performs other duties as assigned.



NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS



To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, geology, or science discipline and a minimum of 8 years of progressively-responsible experience in technical projects or


• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license is preferred


• Ability to travel 25% of the time, including site visits, client visits, and other company locations.


• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management


• Effective written and verbal communication skills.


• Solid organization and time/project management skills.


• Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated).


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).


• Perform other duties as assigned.
