Position Summary:

You will join a small application development team which typically consist of a product manager, UX designer, QA, and 2-4 software engineers. You will participate in our agile software development process to brainstorm and build amazing products that are highly desirable by our customers. You are somebody who loves coding, can distill business requirements, and can lead technical direction while contributing to a fast-moving company.

Key Responsibilities:

You will participate in all stages of the application development process from conception through release, including:

Scope

  • You own entire systems or projects, partnering with team’s business stakeholders.
  • You take on an ownership stake of your entire team’s engineering priorities, including communication and coordination with adjacent teams and roles.
  • You are the primary driver of triaging and resolving production issues, holding post-mortems, and owning long-term fixes.
  • You instigate and contribute improvements to the overall engineering org standards and initiatives.
  • You actively contribute to motivating and growing the team. You're asked to provide performance feedback and input on opportunities for individual growth.

Skills & Experience

  • You can organize and lead processes, ceremonies, and rituals.
  • You have led design conversations and proposed design specifications that touch multiple teams.
  • You can manage your own workload, particularly work involving coordination with other team members.
  • You are able to communicate clearly and concisely both to technical and non-technical audiences about scope and state of a project.
  • You are up to date with the landscape of technologies and able to evaluate their impact on our org.

Location: Rogers, Arkansas

Work Arrangement: Hybrid role, with consideration for candidates open to relocation.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of software development experience in a cloud environment.
  • Experience in leading and/or managing engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • Experience in software development in a web and cloud environment.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g Java, TypeScript, Python, Golang, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of at least one database system (e.g PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to flourish with minimal guidance.
  • Bonus: React, JavaScript with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes.

What We Offer:

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.

The annual salary range for this role is: $100,200- $150,400. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
