Your Role:
Our team at MilliporeSigma is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help develop and implement our APIs and contribute to innovative solutions. This role will involve collaboration with the team to embrace the latest advancements in the field. We work in a hybrid flexible environment. This role can be based in either our St. Louis, MO or Burlington, MA facility.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Master's degree preferred
At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience in a corporate environment
An API-first approach is essential
Strong background in software development
Proficient in software development with practical experience; the ability to code in any programming language is essential and should not be a barrier
Experience in consuming and defining services
Familiarity with testing frameworks
Ability to deliver solutions based on business requirements
Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
Ability to work with global teams and adapt to a flexible work schedule
Proficiency in databases and SQL
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric focus
Experience with third-party libraries
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud environments
Experience with product-oriented engineering development is a plus
Familiarity with version control systems
Understanding of development practices, methodologies, and the product development lifecycle
