Job Summary: The Estimating Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of costs, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data for reference in future estimates.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate estimates to clients and management.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Monitor and update estimates as project conditions change.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Degree in accounting, business, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of [1-3] years of experience in estimating or a related role.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel).
