We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a teamwork environment. Add in a good amount of enthusiasm, positivity, and flexibility, and that describes a candidate we would like to meet.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist compiles, records, verifies, maintains data, and inputs payments to the Accounts Receivable records. The Specialist is responsible for issuing credit memos to customers for returned goods or to correct errors. Responsible for supporting various accounting department duties.

• Ability to use a computer, printers, scanners, copiers, multi-use telephone, fax machine, envelope stuffer and postage meter
• Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner 

Education, Certification and Experience:

• Associates degree; Bachelor’s degree desirable
• 4+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks a plus 

What You Will Do 

• Process daily deposit to bank and inputs data in QuickBooks
• Research payment shortages, over payments, returns, refunds, freight charges, cost of lost or damaged goods, and various discrepancies
• Receive and process ACH request forms
• Monitor both the accounting and accounts receivable email box to provide prompt processing and response
• Answer customer inquiries and follow up
• Monitor pre-paid accounts, follow up with Customer Care
• Issue invoices for the Marketing Department, follow up to collect payments, and maintain the records
• Perform the end of day processing for reports to the sales reps and customers
• Process returned goods and generate the credit memos to customers
• Resolve inventory discrepancies between LAC and Warehouse Management System
• Upload and verify Avalara Sales Tax Exemption Certificates
• Reconcile cash register at the end of month
• Provide backup and support with accounting department responsibilities as needed
• Receive and process customer’s credit applications
