As an IT Services Manager for Network Segmentation, you will bring your unique set of skills and perspectives to develop, implement, and improve upon the enterprise network segmentation/security strategy. You will serve as a trusted leader providing associate mentorship, outstanding customer service, and protection of the Publix enterprise network, the Publix brand, and our customers and business partners against internal and external cyber threats.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership and direction for a team that is tasked with security policy development, and implementation for Next-Gen firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, virtual private networks, and web security gateways in a large hybrid/multi-cloud enterprise environment,

  • Plan and manage daily efforts of the team which provides network segmentation consultation, implementation, and security & compliance services to various application, and infrastructure teams,

  • Develop standards, processes, and procedures to enhance network segmentation activities and ensure success in meeting security and compliance requirements,

  • Anticipate and identify issues that conflict with security & compliance requirements; work with system owners, architects, and auditors to define and execute action plans to address root causes,

  • Manage assigned associates (Network Segmentation Engineers) and,

  • Manage existing/potential technology vendor relationships/sales personnel.


 


  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent analytical discipline, or equivalent experience,

  • 7+ years of I.T. experience

  • 3+ years’ experience with focus on networking, firewalls, or network security technologies

  • 3+ years of experience planning, implementing, and supporting network security deployments,

  • 1+ years of experience with compliance and regulatory security requirements (SOX, PCI, HIPAA),

  • 1+ years of In-depth understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies,

  • 1+ years of solid understanding of the functional and operational practices necessary to operate in a highly available, highly secure, and highly regulated environment to meet business and compliance requirements.


 


  • Advanced degree in computer science or equivalent analytical discipline, or equivalent experience,

  • 3+ years of experience providing leadership in a large enterprise network,

  • 8+ years of security engineering experience with a concentration in firewalls or network security technologies,

  • Experience with cloud/private cloud security technologies,

  • 2+ years of experience with Publix and,

  • Multiple security and engineering certifications.
