Nemours Children's Health Pensacola is seeking a highly motivated Audiologist to staff at Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart.
The Audiologist will provide comprehensive hearing evaluation, treatment and consultation independently to typical pediatric patients within a program and under the guidelines designated by departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This role will expand knowledge of less common populations seen within the program through mentorship, educational opportunities and more!
Essential Functions:
Demonstrates proficiency in the care of pediatrics for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Demonstrates proficiency in the care of neonates as required by assignment.
Evaluates patients for hearing difficulties, impairments and makes appropriate recommendations to physicians, families, schools, and community agencies for follow-up care.
Independently provides and coordinates age-appropriate treatment plans and treatment in routine patient care situations.
Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards.
Attends meetings related to patient treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member.
Consults with other services, families and outside agencies to recommend equipment, home or school modifications, transition of care etc.
Participates in meeting goals of the department
Assists in maintenance of department equipment.
Maintains knowledge of and familiarity with the insurance referral/authorization process and documentation requirements related to therapy services.
Investigates specialty areas within the audiology discipline. Includes interests in Cochlear implants and hearing aids, vestibular testing, electrophysiological testing and central auditory processing testing.

Job Requirements:
Master's Degree or Au.D required
Applicant must be a licensed Audiologist or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida
